You can rent someone's car, truck, camper, pool, backyard, business space, and the opportunities are wide open. Here are a few of my favorite (and not favorite but popular) resources. In some cases, you can stay overnight in a Walmart parking lot with your RV for free, or the backyard of a winery for free! What!! Harvest Hosts gives you access to an exclusive list of breweries, wineries, farms, and golf courses where you can sleep overnight in your RV for free or a small fee, or promise to shop in their store! Craziness! Way off the beaten path and unique experiences. And I love it. Hotels are great too, you at least know what to expect and getting refunds are generally easier.
